People move here to study, fall in love with their surroundings and remain here long after. Such is the case for Dean, 32, and Brittany, 27, who both came to Norwich to study at Norwich University of the Arts. Despite hearing that London is the answer to their creative prayers, Dean and Brittany have found that living in a smaller city has brought them into a busy and friendly artistic scene that has allowed them to flourish and stand out from the crowd. Dean is a builder by day and an artist at night; he’s currently renovating a house in the city, and in his spare time he paints, skates and puts on art shows. Brittany is a full-time blogger whose upcoming projects include collaborations with Paul Smith and Whistles.
As a couple, they love eating at Woolf & Bird/Woolf & Social, Brick Pizza, The Unthank Arms and the dozens of stalls on Norwich Market. In their downtime, they visit the Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts, go for picnics at Eaton park, shop at Sevenwolves and look forward to events such as the Norwich Lanes Fayre and Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
