Despite having only been open just a couple of months, Bermuda Bob’s seems so well ingrained into Norwich culture and nightlife, it’s difficult to imagine the city without it.
Opening a new venue is by no means an easy feat. However, with the brains behind Gonzo’s Tea Room leading the way with experience and taste, a helping hand from some of Norwich’s best artists and a push from the city’s most practiced party throwers - from day dot it’s been hitting the spot.
It’s styled in a similar way to Gonzo’s - a seemingly haphazard emporium of the most random objects, that somehow work perfectly together. The vibe in Bermuda Bob’s is way more tropical though; it’s a rum shack after all.
And the selection of rum is a point of pride. Serving up the most extensive selection of Rums in the city, their super friendly bar staff will be only too happy to rustle up some rum-based bevs for your delectation.
Other than the downstairs bar, the other winning feature of Bob’s is its upstairs multi-purpose dance floor. Throughout the week, this hosts everything from live music performances to cabaret shows, stand-up comedy and jazz nights, with the potential for even more.
It’s no surprise that a heap of Norwich’s favourite promoters have landed on Bob’s as their new home. By marrying the dance floor space with surely the best sound system in the city, it’s really become a welcome space for local music talent to both call, and make, their own.
Since opening, Bob’s has already hosted a number of world-class artists, with more plans in the pipeline. It’s the music venue Norwich has needed for years, and we’re really excited to have the chance to see some of our favourite artists in an unparalleled, intimate setting.
It’s fitting then that Bob’s have plans to round off both an impressive opening season and the year, family style - with two of the biggest party throwers who have made Bob’s their home - Our House and Bunk, joining forces to see the year off.
Tickets have been flying out for this one, so if you want to join Our House and Bunk for NYE (and you know they’ll see you into 2019 right) grab your tickets here:
