If you’re in search of authentic sushi without neon lights or conveyor belts then Shiki’s elegant surroundings are for you.
Established in 2004, dining at Shiki is a shared and social experience where, in the style of an izakaya bar, you’re encouraged to order many smaller dishes (otsumami) to share with friends. Chef Shun has lived in Norwich for 23 years and loves to mix traditional Japanese cuisine with local ingredients - dishes include sushi, tempura and Japanese-style steak. They also stock a unique wine and sake list created by sommelier Maiko.
Food may be the real focal point, but the high ceilings and crisp white walls of the restaurant add to the dining experience. There’s also the option of outside seating or quiet tables upstairs for couples.
We recommend the daily change specials or the cute bento boxes that you can take home with you. Simple and delicious, Shiki is always a treat!
