Out There Festival Great Yarmouth

Weird and wonderful, outrageous and outstanding – the Out There Festival brings you some of the world’s finest circus and street arts performers… and almost all for free!

2018’s festival will be our eleventh and is set to hit the streets on the weekend of the 14th,15th & 16th September.

As we enter the second decade of the festival, we continue to bring you the very best circus and street arts from the UK and across the globe. Around 150 performers from ten nations join us including an exciting showcase of Catalan and Balearic artists. Six festival shows have been created in part, or whole, here in Great Yarmouth at our Drill House and we present 12 world and UK premieres. Also, Générik Vapeur are back! - and this time for a very special collaboration with Gorilla Circus for a very special celebration. Celebrating 250 years of Circus, Bivouac250 is a special anniversary edition of their explosive show and will feature 250 local people in a sprawling circus celebration across the town.

SeaChange Arts have developed a reputation for their international working. The Out There Festival has grown on the back of significant EU projects including the ZEPA network which allowed us to bring iconic companies like Générik Vapeur to Great Yarmouth.

Breath-taking spectacle and quirky comedy combine in a festival woven through with world-class performance, family-friendly atmosphere and more than a fair dose of seaside silliness! Regularly attracting more than 50,000 people, the festival blends iconic international acts and the finest UK performers with massive amounts of community participation, family fun and lots of hands-on things to do.
