“AMY OLLETT is a Conceptual Fashion Designer, Choreographer and Dance Artist/Researcher. A Norwich native Ollett then went onto London and California to train as a dancer and choreographer, this is where she bang discovering her interdisciplinary practice of choreography. Once she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance returned to Norwich to complete her Masters Degree in Fashion at the Norwich University of the Arts.
Ollett's practice is interdisciplinary, exploring the interface between dance, fashion, movement and design. It is Informed by the properties of fabric, garment and choreography in order to develop form, shape and conceptual relationships. The piece ‘MILK’ is a contemporary movement based fusion with a collaboration and combination of fashion performance from Amy Ollett’s SS19 collection. The work explores the idea of being submerged, this by society’s impact on a women’s emotional state, how they should be feeling both physically and mentally.
Ollett’s previous work has been featured in VOGUE, Blanc Magazine, Kaltblut, House of Solo, Fashion Clash Festival, California State University of Fullerton, The Garage, Kingston Theatre London and soon will be presenting work at The Place Theatre in London.”
