Garden Kitchen

Discover a sanctuary nestled in the heart of Cambridge at the Garden Kitchen's oasis at 82 Mill Road, in collaboration with house plant connoisseur, Small and Green. One of three locations, others being situated at Kettle’s Yard and Cambridge University Botanic Gardens.

Owner Andrew Smith flipped his business on its head after the pandemic forced a change to the sit-in café model. Adopting a vegetarian menu and convincing the landlord to allow a collaborative use of the shop has created a truly unique space in partnership with Small and Green.

Offering a select vegetarian and vegan menu of breakfast, lunches, and sweet treats pair perfectly with a local favourite coffee roaster, The Brew Project.

Chef, Barbi, is kept busy in the kitchen preparing goods for the other two Garden Kitchen sites, which are then delivered by cargo bike.  Catering orders are also prepared at the Mill Road Kitchen and have become popular with clients looking for a fresh alternative to the usual curled-up sandwich served at office meetings.

Step into a world where greenery meets culinary artistry; a place where community, innovation, and flavour converge. Visit the Garden Kitchen at 82, a testament to collaboration and adaptability in the ever-changing landscape of indie businesses.
